Die casting ductile casting defects and the improvement method

Die casting ductile casting defects are the following
Cavitation erosion:
Defect reason: because of the pressure suddenly decreases,and make molten soup of gas suddenly inflation,impact caused by mold,mold damage
Improve methods: port area not the fast change) shrinkage cavity: reason: when the metal solidification by liquid to solid is accounted for by smaller space,if not metal added will form shrinkage cavity usually occurs in a relatively slow setting place
Improve methods:
1) increase pressure
2) change mold temperature) local cooling,spray mold release agent,reduce the die temperature),sometimes just to change the shrinkage cavity position,not disappear shrinkage cavity
Peeling:
Defect reasons: 1) filling mode bad,cause melting soup overlap
2) mold deformation,cause melting soup overlap
3) inclusion oxide
Improve methods:
1) early for high speed switching
2) shorten the filling time
3) change filling pattern,gate position,gate speed
4) check the die strength is enough
5) check pin die device is good or not) 6) check whether inclusion oxide
Corrugated:
Defect reason: the first layer on the surface of soup melting rapidly cooling,the second fuse soup through to the first layer melt,yet have enough fusion,caused by different organizations
Defect improvement methods:
1) improve filling mode
2) shorten the filling time
Poor flow from the hole:
Reason: molten soup flow is too slow,or too cold,or filling mode bad,so in the solidification of metal joint have hole
Improve methods:
1) with the improvement of the cold cut method
2) check the fuse soup temperature is stable
3) check the mould WenChong is stable
In the parting surface hole:
Reason: may be shrinkage cavity and porosity
Improve methods:
1) if the shrinkage cavity,reduce gate thickness or overflow well import thickness
2) cooling gate
3) if hole,pay attention to exhaust or roll gas problem
Flash:
Reason: 1) insufficient clamping force
2) mold closing bad) 3) mold strength shortage
4) high temperature melt soup
Shrinkage in:
Reason: shrinkage cavity occurred in pressure parts below the surface
Improve methods:
1) with the method of improve the shrinkage cavity
2) local cooling
3) heating on the other side
